started kinda conflict of the day, similar to Steven Universe. I wouldn't say any of the early episodes are bad, and actually most are quite good, if lacking polish. Steven Universe is known for starting very slow, only picking up about halfway through season 1 with the masterpiece that was Mirror Gem, and several really good episodes earlier. Here is why Star Vs has as of late, become the superior show (in terms of critical writing quality)įirst, I'd like to talk about how each show starts off, for those who haven't watched. However, SU seems to have come to a crossroads and it feels like they did not know which path to take. I am a huge fan of both, but SU more so than Star Vs. I was keeping up with Steven Universe even longer - since not long before the second Steven Bomb.
